Read the following points:
1- Using past examination papers to revise:
I use past examination papers from the previous version of this specification to support the teaching of the new specification. However, there are significant differences to some questions and the total of each paper includes now Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar (SPaG).
In Section B of Unit 1, the nine mark question has an extra four marks for Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar (SPaG).
Unit 2 & 3
In both Units 2 and 3 in Section B of the examination paper, four marks instead of three for SPaG are now incorporated into one of the longer six mark questions.
Unit 2 is now worth total of 69 marks = 45 marks in section A and 24 marks in section B including 4 marks for SPaG
Unit 3 is now worth total of 69 marks = 45 marks in section A and 24 marks in section B including 4 marks for SPaG.
2- This new examination has no choice of topics (options) apart from sections B of Unit 2 & 3.
The table below includes the topics by unit. The topics in red are our topics for section B. The topics we have covered are in blue.
3- Download the list of the skills needed for Unit 1 Section A: Skills-for-unit-1-Section A
4- The following document includes an outline of what you need to know for each topic. It could be a good ‘check list’ for revision!
